Instrument panels are placed in a PID drawing and contain a series of instruments that all have the same base tag but differ in Device Type Code. The panels are representative of components like motorized valves, junction boxes and light panels. Each Panel is created as a square or rectangular element and given a tag. As instruments are added to the panel, they are placed inside of the panel bounding shape and adopt the panel number as required but have their Device Type Code adjusted as needed.
